At VCS, the safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. Through this Fund A Need, we seek to raise $95,000 to continue the black wrought iron security fencing around our campus.  This project will extend the existing perimeter fencing around the lower elementary wing of the 400 building and continue it through to the cafeteria building, fully enclosing this wing.  This will significantly enhance campus security for our youngest students while also creating a safer, more structured outdoor space for student pick-up.  The proposed expansion includes four access gates to ensure convenient entry to current exterior doors while maintaining secure boundaries. In addition, a section of fencing in the playground area will be updated to provide increased safety and peace of mind during recess.  Any additional funds raised will directly support campus improvement projects.  Thank you for your generosity to protect and strengthen the safety on our VCS campus and help provide a secure environment for our students.

Through this Fund A Need, VCS is partnering with the Booster Club.  Boosters have started work on the bathrooms in the hallway near concessions.  This Fund A Need seeks to raise $30,000 to complete renovation on the bathrooms near concessions as well as renovate the two bathrooms near the weight room.  Upgrades will include new sinks, stalls, mirrors, fresh paint, and upgraded flooring.  As VCS hosts a wide range of events in our gyms, from athletic competitions and assemblies to musicals and, we hope, future graduation ceremonies—these improvements will better serve our students, families, and guests.  Your support will help complete the renovation work already underway. Any additional funds raised will directly support campus improvement projects.  Thank you for helping us enhance the comfort, functionality, and hospitality of our athletic facilities for the entire VCS community.

In response to feedback from VCS families requesting expanded athletic opportunities, we are excited to move forward with plans for future baseball and softball programs. However, our current baseball field requires significant restoration before these teams can become a reality.  Due to the size and scope of the overall project, this Fund A Need focuses on Phase 1: field preparation and irrigation. Our goal is to raise $48,000 to level the fields with new infield soil, rebuild the outdated irrigation systems with a new timed sprinkler system, lay sod in the infield, and hydroseed the remaining field.  These essential improvements will create a safe, playable foundation for future student athletes. Any additional funds raised will support Phase 2, including upgrades to the backstops, dugouts, and bleachers.  Your generosity will help us steward our campus responsibly and create new opportunities for students—and potentially for other baseball teams in our community.  Thank you for helping us bring these future programs to life.
