With this Fund A Need we are partnering with the VCS Booster Club to raise funds for a new outdoor scoreboard and console at the VCS Track.  This scoreboard will be a multi-sport scoreboard with the opportunity to serve our flag football team, cross country runners, and track and field events, providing support for a wide range of athletic programs.  The scoreboard will have the capability to integrate into our existing timing system for cross country and track events.  Additionally, the scoreboard will enhance our ability to host and generate revenue from community events that rent our facility.  After the recent improvements to our track, including resurfacing the track, and updating the grandstands, we are thrilled to partner with the Booster Club to take this next step in creating a fully functional facility for our students and wider community.  Our goal is to raise $20,000 to assist the VCS Booster Club in funding the purchase and installation of the new scoreboard and console.  Any additional funds raised will go directly towards supporting future campus improvement projects at VCS.  Thank you for your generosity in helping us to continue to build and improve our athletic facility.  (Proposed artwork for new scoreboard depicted.)

At VCS, we rely heavily on our fleet of vans for transporting students to school, sporting events, field trips and service projects.  As our school continues to grow, so does the need for reliable vehicles.  We had been hoping to add a van to our fleet, then unfortunately, this past year, we had to retire one of our vans, which has created a gap in our transportation capacity.  Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, one of the two vans we need has been fully funded.  Praise God for His provision!  For this Fund a Need, we aim to raise the necessary funds to purchase the second van to complete our fleet.  Our goal is to raise $67,000 to purchase a 2024 Ford Transit 15-Passenger Van, which will include a custom VCS logo wrap.   Any additional funds raised will go toward fleet maintenance and care.  Thank you for your generous support in helping us go the extra mile—literally—for VCS students!

VCS hosts a wide range of events in both of our gymnasiums, from sporting events, to assemblies, to musicals and hopefully one day graduations.  We want to ensure that everyone can hear and enjoy these experiences.  Over the past few years, we've been working in phases to optimize the sound in our gyms, including the purchase of speakers near the stage three years ago.  Now, with this Fund a Need, we aim to raise the necessary funds to enhance the audio experience in both gyms.  Specifically, we want to purchase and install additional speakers in the main gym to improve sound quality in the bleachers, as well as acoustic tiles for the VCS practice gym, to reduce the decibels and echo in that space.  Our goal is to raise $60,000 to cover the purchase and installation of these upgrades.  Any additional funds raised over our initial ask will go towards the purchase of acoustic tiles for our main gym.  Thank you for your generosity and support in creating an event space with clear and crisp audio in our gymnasiums for students, families and the VCS community.
